Event 3: LACMA
Event 3: LACMA For my third event, I decided to go check out LACMA because I've always seen pictures of the lights outside but have also heard of all the amazing artwork and pieces inside. The drive from campus isn't too far but once you get there and see all the art you realize it is well worth it. At the time that I went, there were a lot of exhibits and art to be seen. However, two exhibits stood out the most to me as we were walking through. First, was James Turrell's Light Reignfall. Unfortunately I was not able to go inside the "light sphere" but heard people talking about how amazing it was. One at a time, a person lays a narrow bed and slides in a big spherical ball the emits different light. Each person that came out was wowed by the experience and was something I was hoping to do.
